Tonto is a flashy Registered Paint with good conformation and disposition. Great for trail riding and overnight camping. He will ride alone or in a big pack. He is willing to go down new trails and ride with unknown horses. He will lead or follow. He does well on hilly, rocky ground, through water, across logs and bridges, on blacktop roads, and over rocks. He is traffic safe. He will jog and lope out on the trails when asked, then drop back to a relaxing walk.
If you are looking for a calm, trustworthy horse to be your next forever riding partner, that is not spooky, it’s Tonto!
Tonto is the horse I always feel comfortable riding following release from medical procedures and surgeries, due to his calm and trustworthy disposition.
He is laid back, handles well on the ground, willing to please, and is a good hand on the farm. You can pony him with beginner riders or pony other horses with him. He has helped break our Colts to lead. He rides well on trails and has a calming effect on young or new horses.
He has potential for the show ring. He is also broke to drive in harness. He has been on numerous televised horseback rides with Best of America. He always gets a lot of compliments from other riders for his looks and his good behavior.
He stands great for tacking and mounting from the ground or mounting block. Handicapped riders have ridden him. I used him in Equine-assisted psychotherapy, as he is well-mannered, handles well, and is safe to be around.
He is an easy keeper, recently shod, has coggins, current sheath cleaning, and teeth floated—no health issues or history of health issues.
Call if you have questions or want to know more about him, or want to meet him. He is a nice horse, and we would like him to go to a special home. We are located in Central Missouri.
