Sweet Sayonara is a Reg. 3-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse mare. She stands at a sturdy 15.2 hands tall. This beautiful buckskin mare has great personality; she is very friendly and in your pocket, loves attention and apple flavored treats. Sweet Sayonara is great around the farm, she’s good with other horses, handles quiet and gentle, will load, stand tied calmly, does the best for grooming and tacking up. Sweet Sayonara has been a trusted blazing trail horse in northeastern Tennessee and south central KY her whole life taking her riders through the rivers, up the mountains, or down through valleys with a reliable, steady, sure-footedness. This lovely lady has a great flat walk with beautiful head shake, she will also transition to a nice canter and smooth stop, and will ride all day on a light rein. In the time we have had her we have ridden and exposed her to all kinds of traffic from semis, ATVs, cars, trucks, bicycles, and motorcycles and always unfazed. Sweet Sayonara is also broke to come to the mounting block to pick you up and in our time together she has also extensively been shot off of and around with a .22-rifle. I know sometimes mares have a reputation of being “temperamental or mare-ish” and I must say this girl here is neither! Around my barn we have let several friends and family members ride this girl and no matter the rider this mare has done her very best to give them a smooth, safe, enjoyable ride no matter the circumstances or situation we put her in. As always contact me for further questions and to schedule an appointment to come fall in love with her like our family has.

About HUSTONVILLE, KY
The community was originally known as The Crossroads from its location on trails connecting the Kentucky and Green rivers and the Falls of the Ohio with Logan's Fort (present-day Stanford). It was then known as Farmington and, after the 1818 erection of a post office, Hanging Fork after a local stream named for two bandits who were hanged by Virginia officers rather than escorted back for trial. For three months in 1826, it was known as New Store, but the name then returned to Hanging Fork. When the town was established on February 29, 1836, it was renamed Hustonville after two local landowners; the post office adopted the name the next year. The city was formally incorporated by the state assembly in 1850.
