Missouri Fox Trotter Mare for Sale in Antlers, OK
đź’Ąđź’Ą Let me introduce you to the sweetest and prettiest golden palomino Missouri Fox Trotter you have ever seen! đź’Ąđź’Ą Sweet Annie is a 12-year-old, 15-hand mare with a thick, stocky confirmation and a beautiful white mane and tail!!! Her name perfectly describes her as she has never met a stranger. She absolutely loves people and her grooming time and will always be the first to meet you at the gate. She is, by nature, a very calm, docile type of horse and is suitable for any level of rider. She is extremely forgiving of human error, which makes her a great go-to horse for a beginner rider or a rider who is not very confident. She is the kind who will boost your confidence, allowing you to enjoy trail riding safely, whether you ride daily or occasionally. She is a very well-seasoned horse and stays broke even when turned out for long periods. We have owned her for a couple of years and have used her as a ranch horse, roping and starting colts, riding in parades, trail riding, taking short trail rides, and going on long, all-day rides. She is sure-footed and smooth all day long. She will confidently take the lead on a trail ride and ride in the middle or the back. She will also ride off by herself on a solo ride, which is very enjoyable even for the more adventurous riders.
Sweet Annie has a beautiful soft handle and will ride in a bit or even just a halter and lead. Our 7-year-old daughter rides her bareback in just a halter and lead rope and slides off of her butt, and climbs between her legs. This stunning mare is SAFE and HONEST!!!! She handles all 4 feet safely and is very respectful both on the ground and on her back. She will side pass up to a mounting block, gate, picnic table, pickup truck, or anything else you can climb on top of to pick you up on queue. She will also side pass on cue from her back to dismount, open, and shut a gate or side pass for the fun of it. She will also take each lead loping circles as well as a beautiful straight away short lope. It doesn’t matter if you are walking, gaiting, or loping; she is always smooth as silk! She has a beautiful, soft neck rein and will stop and back quietly and easily. She has led the pack string in training, and she has been part of the pack string. She knows the importance of keeping her space in line with the other horses.
Having been around here for an extended period of time Sweet Annie has been exposed to a lot of things like riding rough terrain and riding on the road, she is traffic safe and has the confidence to go anywhere you point her. She has been with me to a few clinics as a demo horse and for the kids to play with. She has been as far north as Michigan and as far south as Texas and she trailers good. She is an easy keeper; there’s no need for expensive special grain or anything like that. She stays fat on a good forage and is always ready to ride.

About Antlers, OK
Evidence exists of prehistoric occupation and activity within the city limits of present-day Antlers. Arrowheads are found periodically at sites throughout the town. Most of the prehistoric sites are atop hills, which the inhabitants could use for defensive purposes and found the most healthful. A Mississippian culture settlement developed at Spiro Mounds, which was active from the mid-9th into the 15th century. This is the westernmost site of the culture and it is "one of the most important archeological discoveries in North America." The 80-acre site is preserved today as Oklahoma's only state archeological park.
