Amondo is an eight-year-old unregistered Kentucky Mountain Horse gelding standing 15 hands high on four keg shoes. He is up to date on his vaccines and dental work, and he has a fresh Coggins. He’s a beautiful bay with two white hind legs and two white feet in front. Amondo is a real eye-catcher, and his stylish gait will turn heads whether you’re out on the trail or in the show ring. He’s been ridden in both large and small groups and is comfortable leading, following, or riding in the middle. He’s been through towns, along highways, and just about anywhere you can imagine. He handles hills, logs, bridges, and whatever else you put in front of him. Amondo is trained to park out for mounting and will step up to a mounting block or truck bed to pick you up. He’s desensitized to gunfire and bullwhips, and he knows how to canter. He’s been around all types of livestock and wildlife, and nothing seems to spook him. He loves his job and can cover ground when asked or settle into a relaxed walk on a loose rein all day long. He’s easy to catch and is middle of the pecking order in the field. He bathes, loads, unloads, and stands for the farrier and haircuts just like a good horse should. If you’re looking for a new trail partner, a field trial horse, or even a little Saturday night show horse.

About Hustonville, KY
The community was originally known as The Crossroads from its location on trails connecting the Kentucky and Green rivers and the Falls of the Ohio with Logan's Fort (present-day Stanford). It was then known as Farmington and, after the 1818 erection of a post office, Hanging Fork after a local stream named for two bandits who were hanged by Virginia officers rather than escorted back for trial. For three months in 1826, it was known as New Store, but the name then returned to Hanging Fork. When the town was established on February 29, 1836, it was renamed Hustonville after two local landowners; the post office adopted the name the next year. The city was formally incorporated by the state assembly in 1850.
