Yukon is an 8-year-old Appaloosa gelding, standing 14.1hh tall and built like a dump truck. He has seen just about everything there is to see on horseback and handles it all with ease. We’ve ran barrels, penned cattle, tackled obstacle courses, and taken more leisurely trail rides on Yukon than most 15-year-old horses have ever experienced. Yukon has the heart of a lion and the personality of a bunny. He’s as friendly as they come always in your pocket but when it’s time to work, he’s ready to go all day with no quit. We’ve hauled him to local rodeos and fun shows, and no matter where he goes, he always draws the most attention! Yukon is suitable for just about anyone with a basic understanding of horse care. He tacks up easily, stands for bathing and grooming, crosses the roughest terrain and deepest waters with confidence, and handles bright lights like a seasoned pro.

                    About Cookeville, TN
Cookeville is named for Richard Fielding Cooke, who came to Tennessee in 1810 and settled nearby. Cooke was twice elected to the state senate, and was influential in establishing Putnam County. Cookeville was chosen as the county seat because it had a spring which provided water to the community. In 1856, Cookeville's first courthouse was erected. It burned a few years later and was rebuilt.
