This is the Palomino mare you have been dreaming of! Southern Honey, barn name “Honey,” is an absolutely stunning dark palomino mare. You can’t take a bad picture of Honey, and there is absolutely no going unnoticed on the trail! She really turns heads. Honey is nine years old. She is registered and DNA’d. She is current on dental, shots, and dewormer. She stands 15.2, has beautiful confirmation, and has a strong build. Honey has smooth gaits and a beautiful natural classic foxtrot that will take you down the trail or to the show! She also has a smooth, flat foot walk and can take you up hills with a smooth canter. She is very affectionate, loves attention, and is the first one to come to you out of the pasture. Honey is a very intelligent mare. You can see from her videos how willing she is and how easy it is to communicate what you want. We really feel like she has an uncanny ability to communicate with her human. Not only will Honey be a great horse for you to ride, but she will be your companion. You will enjoy hanging out with her and doing all sorts of different things with her. Southern Honey is out of the famous “Southern Sunrise” bloodline. Southern Sunrise has been inducted into the Missouri Fox Trotter Hall of Fame. Southern Sunrise sired approximately 788 registered horses and produced more champions than any other sire in the history of the Missouri Fox Trotter Horse Breed Association. Southern Sunrise horses are held in high esteem. Honey is great with kids. She is respectful of space and polite. The video of Jayden riding Honey was shot on a hot Sunday afternoon, and it was the first and only time Jayden had ever ridden Honey. We went a little further with the video that day and put two kids on her back. As you can see, she was just fine with that. Honey has been with us exclusively for the past 7 years except for those times when she has been with our select trainers, acquiring new skills, developing the “thinking” side of her mind, and keeping fit. This has been positive for Honey. Not only did she acquire new skills, but she also had more exposure to multiple riders. As you can see, Honey is a very versatile Missouri Fox Trotter. We know you will appreciate her beauty, her versatility, and her personality. Have fun with her and make her your own!
