STOP SCROLLING and take a look at Lavender’s Videos. You Do Not want to miss this one!! Lavender is only four years old, with her whole life before her. She is about as good a minded 4-year-old as you will find. Standing at a comfortable height of 14.2hh, she is stout and strong. Although she has only been under saddle a few months, she has absolutely excelled in her training, and has shown to be safe and reliable. I have nothing but good to say of this fancy little mare. She has a good mind and a willingness to learn. She is sweet and loves attention with no bad habits. Lavender is one of the first to meet you in the pasture. She stands tied and quiet, is good for the farrier, and will let you bathe and fly spray her. She loads right up on command and has been hauled regularly. She is very cowy and has been used to work cattle and check fences on the ranch. She could make a great cutting or reining horse. She is soft in the face and has good collection. She has lightly been worked with on roping and introduced to sorting and is doing very well!! She stands good for mounting and dismounting. Has a decent neck rein and is learning to Spin. She has a natural low-head carry and an easy, smooth lope. She knows her leads and has been lightly started on her lead changes. She side-passes well, and you can open and close gates from her back! She has a great stop and backs up readily!! She rides well off of your seat and leg cues. She has seen a lot and loves doing trail rides. She rides great in groups or alone. Lavender is 100% sound and selling with a current PPE—no known past injuries. She has clean legs and solid hoofs that get trimmed every 6-8 weeks. She has been ridden mainly in a dog-bone snaffle bit or bosal.

About Palestine, TX

A trading post was established here about 1843 and some settlers gathered around it. In 1846, the Texas Legislature created Palestine to serve as a seat for the newly established Anderson County. James R. Fulton, Johnston Shelton, and William Bigelow were hired by the first Anderson County commissioners to survey the surrounding land and lay out a town site, consisting of a central courthouse square and the surrounding 24 blocks. During the Reconstruction era, the town's growth was stimulated and timber trade was stimulated when the railroad was constructed through here in the 1870s.
