Summer break is coming, and I know that many parents are just like me and don’t want their kids sitting around the house glued to those phones/devices with social media or playing video games… Here is the answer to that problem! Meet Ellie, a black Missouri Foxtrotting mare who stands around 14hh and is 13 years old. If you want broke, safe, gentle… one that you don’t have to worry about putting the kids on, HERE SHE IS!!! Ellie is a stocky-built little lady who is plenty big and stout enough to carry an adult, but she has the right attitude and knowledge to carry the littlest or greenest of riders! Ellie is easy on the eyes and has a sweet personality. She is great on trails and loves to go trail riding. She will cross any obstacle and go over any terrain. She has been exposed to various wildlife, such as deer or turkey, and will go anywhere she is asked to. She will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all rough terrain while still being sure-footed. Ellie has a super smooth gait and gaits smoothly for any rider! She neck reins very well, too, so she is beginner-friendly! She has been riding in traffic and is very traffic-safe around cars, semis, logs, and dump trucks. She has a great attitude about whatever she is asked to do. Ellie is a once-in-a-lifetime type of horse, and I know she will make some family VERY happy!

About Jamestown, KY

The community was established in 1826 to be the seat of the newly formed Russell County. It was briefly known as Jacksonville in honor of General Andrew Jackson, who had just won a plurality of the popular vote during the 1824 presidential election but lost the runoff in the House of Representatives, largely because of the " corrupt bargain" struck by Henry Clay and John Quincy Adams. However, an anti-Jacksonian party loyal to Clay came into power the same year and the post office was established in November as Jamestown after local landowner James Wooldridge, who (together with his brother John) had donated 110 acres of land for the town. The act of the state legislature incorporating the city in December continued this name, which the city has used since. As of the census of 2000, there were 1,624 people, 662 households, and 421 families residing in the city.
