My oh my, look at that big boy! This is Sampson, a 12-year-old buckskin Percheron / Quarter horse cross. He stands 15.3hh and is made big and stout. Sampson has a laid-back personality, and not much bothers him. Young kids rode him at a camp for the last few months. He is the definition of safe. You don’t have to lunge him before riding. Just mount up and take off. He can be ridden by all riders, from beginners to experienced horsemen. Sampson crosses all trail obstacles, such as logs, creeks, and bridges. He is not spooky and handles different situations well. He stands perfectly for saddling, grooming, bathing, shoeing, etc. He can be kept in a stall as well as out in pasture. He gets along well with other horses. Sampson is 100% traffic safe, ridden through town, next to highway traffic, and even through parades! When we took him to town to video, we passed a convoy of semis and dump trucks, and he never flinched. He has been ridden around and helped sort cows. Sampson is not spooky for the whip, tarp, or flags. You can even shoot guns off him!! He is truly a barn favorite. He is usually the horse picked around our place to go to a job or on a nice, easy ride after a long day. Sampson walks slow for the beginners, but don’t let that fool you. He can and will pick up a nice flowing short lope. He catches both leads easily. He is 100% sound and does not crib or weave. If you are looking for your next partner in crime, look no further than Sampson. He is located in Greensburg, Ky.

About Greensburg, KY

The 1780 settlement was originally known as "Glover's Station", for local landowner John Glover, who received 193 acres (0.78 km 2) in the area as a military grant after the American Revolution. Following the establishment of Green County (named for Revolutionary War Maj. General Nathanael Greene ) from parts of Lincoln and Nelson counties in 1792, Greensburg was laid out and established two years later as its eponymous seat of government. It was incorporated as a city a year after that. The central Public Square was also laid out in 1795 and has been retained as designed since then, with the only changes being the paving of the square with concrete and the installation of concrete dividers and parking meters in the four quadrants.
