Mule Mare for Sale in Charleston, IL

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY,COM. SALE ENDS ON 04/03 @ 3:40PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Introducing to you Mable, a 14.1 hand 9-year-old grade dun Molly! Mable is the perfect go-to mule. Whether you want to go trail riding or ride around in the arena, she will do it! She will ride out alone or in a group. Either way, it doesn’t bother her one bit. Mable is traffic-safe and used to being around kids, dogs, cows, goats, sheep, chickens, and turkeys. She has had people aged 8 to 75 ride her and get along great! She will walk, trot, and lope without hesitation. Mable has been used to push cattle into the arena and through the pastures up to the barns. While trail riding, she will easily go through or over any obstacles you encounter along the trail. She will stand still for you to mount and dismount from the ground, mounting block, or a fallen tree on the trail. She doesn’t mind! You don’t have to ride her every day. You can ride her once a week or monthly, and she will be the same every time! She is also broke enough to drive single and double! She is currently barefoot right now and 100 percent sound in every way. Mable will stand for you to be saddled, bridled, and brushed. She loads and unloads out of the trailer with ease. She will also stand perfect for the farrier. Mable also gets along well with others out in the pasture too. Mable is a nice mule that we have loved and enjoyed having and riding around here. If you are in need of a middle-aged, good, minded Molly, look no further.

About Charleston, IL

Native Americans lived in the Charleston area for thousands of years before the first European settlers arrived. With the great tallgrass prairie to the west, beech-maple forests to the east, and the Embarras River and Wabash Rivers between, the Charleston area provided semi-nomadic Indians access to a variety of resources. Indians may have deliberately set the " wildfires" which maintained the local mosaic of prairie and oak–hickory forest. Streams with names like 'Indian Creek' and 'Kickapoo Creek' mark the sites of former Indian settlements. One village is said to have been located south of Fox Ridge State Park near a deposit of flint.
