She has never done anything bad from the start to now. She is a horse that you will look forward to riding. She will walk, trot, canter. Picks up her leads. She will back up softly, side pass, disengage her hips, spin, and engage in lateral and vertical flexion. She will sit and lay down on command. I have also used her to pony other horses. This mare will advance fast to roping/ranching if kept in good hands. She is a very cowy horse! She is very sensible and calm when it comes to working cows. She is easy to catch, halter, bridle, and saddle. You can ride her with a snaffle or halter and lead rope. She will also ride one-handed and bridle-less. She is well-mannered and respectful on the ground and under the saddle. She is good for the farrier and easy to bathe. She loads and unloads easily and stands tied. She does not require any special maintenance. She is quiet and confident down the trail and will take care of her rider. This mare is very sure-footed, calm, and sensible out on trails. She goes up and down hills, through water, over logs, and tackles whatever obstacles you throw her way. She is confident when riding alone or happy anywhere in a group, whether she leads or follows. She is traffic-safe. With some more time to develop, she will and could be an all-around versatile horse. She will make a safe horse for the entire family to enjoy. She is sound and healthy!

About Pine Village, IN

The town was founded at the location of a trading post called Pine Village, which may have been named for a lone pine tree that stood on the bluff of Pine Creek, or it may have been named for the creek itself. The town was laid out in 1851 by Isaac and John R. Metsker, and the plat map was made by county surveyor Perrin Kent. The Methodist Church was already there; it was built several years earlier. The post office at Pine Village has been in operation since 1854.
