Pony Gelding for Sale in Jamestown, KY

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY,COM. SALE ENDS ON 12/13 @ 4:20PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Christmas time is coming, and I can’t think of a better Christmas present than this beautiful pair of gelding ponies. Andy and Opie are six and 7-year-old brothers who stand around 34-36” tall. The kids say they are “Miniature Friesians,” and they are classy-looking boys for sure! They harness up and hitch up quietly. They have been with us since last winter and have had countless hours of brushing, picking out hooves, and leading them around… they have pretty much been pestered daily by our 5-year-old, and they are 100% safe. There is not a mean bone in their body. They drive out in the fields or down the highways and are traffic-safe. We have used them to haul hay out and feed the cows, and they will cross anything that is in their path. The winning bidder will get both ponies, the harness, and the cart for one price!!! Call me with any questions. We can get shipping set to anywhere in the US and have them arrive before Christmas day!!!

About Jamestown, KY

The community was established in 1826 to be the seat of the newly formed Russell County. It was briefly known as Jacksonville in honor of General Andrew Jackson, who had just won a plurality of the popular vote during the 1824 presidential election but lost the runoff in the House of Representatives, largely because of the " corrupt bargain" struck by Henry Clay and John Quincy Adams. However, an anti-Jacksonian party loyal to Clay came into power the same year and the post office was established in November as Jamestown after local landowner James Wooldridge, who (together with his brother John) had donated 110 acres of land for the town. The act of the state legislature incorporating the city in December continued this name, which the city has used since. As of the census of 2000, there were 1,624 people, 662 households, and 421 families residing in the city.
