Duke is a 4-month-old grade Percheron stud colt. His father and mother are Blue Roan Percheron, standing 13.3 tall and will mature to 16.3 and is well put together. Both parents are broke to ride, drive, and work in the fields. We own the mother; she is calm enough at four years old that we let our 7-year-old son ride her around. She is part of our main team that gets used for parades, carriage rides, and fieldwork. Duke has all correct markings: black legs, face, mane, and long tail. If you’re looking for your next stallion to breed mares or a gelding to use as a riding/driving horse, this is the one for you.
About Baltic, SD
Baltic was originally called St. Olaf, and under the latter name was laid out in 1881. Another variant name was Keyes. A post office was established under the name Saint Olaf in 1872, the name was changed to Keyes in 1887, and the name was again changed to Baltic in 1889. The Chicago, Milwakuee, Saint Paul and Pacific Railroad built through Baltic and established a railroad depot.
