Meet Ice Man, a 10-year-old Perlino Tobiano Tennessee Walking Horse Gelding standing a stout 15.2 Hands Tall and built similar to most quarter horses. Ice Man has been used as a sure-footed, dependable trail mount his entire life, and let me tell you, this horse sure knows his way around the rough, rugged trails we have in Eastern Kentucky. He will go anywhere you point his head and, without hesitation, will go completely trusting his rider. One owner born & raised in Big South Fork being a trail partner to an older gentleman, since being with us, Ice Man has been introduced to several new things like carrying the flag, working cattle, and guns being fired from his back, and this is a horse that always goes beyond our expectations to please his riding partner! Ice Man will flatfoot walk on a loose rein and, when asked with a simple nudge, will smoothly transition into his natural Walking horse gait. Ice Man will let you climb aboard by large rocks, mounting blacks, stumps, etc. He also listens to voice commands excellently, backs up, and will go into a canter when asked! He will cross anywhere you point his head without any hesitation, crossing downed trees cut up, creeks, mud puddles, ditches & the rocky steep terrains that we have here in Southeastern Kentucky! We also have ridden along the country roads around our home, where he has encountered just about anything imaginable, from farm equipment, other livestock running alongside the road (cows, horses, goats jumping around), dogs running out barking, loud vehicles passing, motorcycles & ATVS. He is well behaved getting a haircut, taking baths, tacking up, loading & unloading in a trailer, and being shod (has four new kegs all around). We spend time with our horses, training them with natural horsemanship methods, creating a human-animal relationship with respect and trust from our horses!
