Presidential Chance is a beautiful, talented, and willing 14yr old gelding. He is a well-built 14.2 hand gelding. Like most Tennessee walkers he has a kind and willing attitude. Besides from his smooth easy-going gait, Chance is a gentleman in and out of the saddle. Chance is excellent on the trail no matter if he is by himself or in a group. He also does not mind where he rides in the group or if another horse bumps into him along the trail. He has many miles under his belt riding the back woods as well as on the side of roads and busy highways. Chance has always been surefooted, and willing to tackle any terrain. He goes through water and high brush without a second thought. He walks over logs, ditches, cross bridges. Chance is a trusting mount, always adapting very quickly and willing to learn new things.

About Calhan, CO
Calhan was established in 1888 as a water station for the now-defunct Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad, with the first steam locomotive arriving on November 5, 1888. The town was named by and for Michael Calahan, who had the contract to lay railroad tracks from the Colorado/ Kansas border to Colorado Springs. However, when the town's first U.S. Post Office opened on November 24, 1888, the middle "a" had been dropped and the town was registered as "Calhan." The town was incorporated as a Statutory Town in 1919. The town grew quickly, but it wasn't until 1906 that the Calhan Rock Island Railroad Depot was built to meet the growing needs of the area.
