Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Stephenville, TX

When you head to the barn, what boots do you reach for first? Your go-tos are probably so broken in & molded to your foot that they feel like they were made for you... Swinging your leg over this horse makes you feel the same way. Boots is a stunning 2017 Gelding by "Just Fire" who boasts a list of accomplishments in the heading & heeling. "Just Fire" is known to produce horses that are the "user friendly", "all around type". Boots' dam is equally yoked. She is by a son of "Skipa Star Buck", sire of numerous AQHA World & Reserve World Champions. He was even featured in Western Horseman's Legends #5! Boots has an exceptionally safe disposition, making him a favorite among riders of ALL ages! He has given his 72 year old owner plenty of memories in and out of the arena over the years. This horse has seen more trailheads than most horses will ever see in a lifetime. He loves going and checking cattle too! Wherever you are, Boots truly lets you just put your hand down & enjoy the ride. He's an "enjoy the scenery" kind of guy! He has shown in several county & 4H classes, making him the perfect teacher for your young ones. A few weeks ago, Boots took me on my first fox hunt, needless to say I had a BLAST!!! No job is too big or too small for Boots. He's very forgiving of accidental cues given by inexperienced riders, quietly stands for mount/dismount and only rides at the speed you ask. Responds to neck reining & leg pressure, travels out on a loose rein, melts into his stops. Another thing I really like about this horse is how adaptable he is. Whatever you throw his way, he's got it! He rides both English and Western, loves evening strolls through the pastures bareback in a halter, and rides quietly in the city traffic. He has been lightly roped off & drags a log. Like those trusty barn boots, you can count on him. Stands 16 hands, is sound, sane, healthy & up to date on ALL care. Records are available. Great to haul, load, bathe, clip, brush, shoe, etc. This is a one-owner horse. He is special and has a lot to offer so he deserves the finest home! If that's you - give me a call & lets chat! ***Visit www.cforkhorses.com for more pics/info***

About Stephenville, TX

Stephenville is named after John M. Stephen, who settled there in 1854, and donated the land for the townsite laid out by George B. Erath when the county was organized in 1856. In the first two years of its settlement, the townsite was successful; by 1858, the population reached 776. However, the townsite was located in Comanche territory and raids were common.
