Artesia is one who will get you recognized. She is absolutely smooth and safe out on the trail and a very gorgeous Rocky Mountain. She is very handy in the bridle, with a true neck rein. She loves playing around with cows. She’s been used for lessons in her previous life. She will ride English as well and do lower-level jumps. She rides out alone or in groups with no problems. She is super safe and gentle. She has had tons of kids on her. She is great for the farrier and veterinarian. She stands to be mounted and dismounted. She will walk all day or gait out very nicely. She has a super smooth lope as well. She is absolutely one of the favorites anywhere she goes. She is a very thick-built mare and can carry an adult all day with no problem. She has a nice big foot with a big bone. She handles all terrain thrown her way. She does great with traffic, bicycles, ATVs, dogs, joggers, and wildlife; she’s seen it all.

About Fort Collins, CO
Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
