Ollie is a 7-year-old dappled grey john mule with a black mane and tail everyone oohs and aahs over. He’s a blast to ride, and he has the looks to go with it. He is sure-footed and not scared of anything we’ve put him through.
This guy came from a family I know well; he is dog Gentle! Ollie sure does love the attention and is the first to greet you in the field or stall. Ollie is out of a walking horse mare and does a cute little gaited shuffle, but he was a little rougher than the previous owner liked. Also, at only 14 hands high, he wasn’t making the cut for what they needed him for. There is absolutely no funny business with this guy. He saddles up quietly and will ride off just as you ask. He may give a funny holler every now and then, but it’s quite cute! Ollie has been stalled and turned out and does just fine in either scenario.
We’ve put Ollie through our program, and he’s passed every test with flying colors. He is quiet on the trail, crosses water, goes through any thick Kentucky brush, and has even helped pack a baby calf to the barn. He would also be super cute as a 4-H project or even a dude ranch prospect. He will walk/trot/lope on a loose rein. Ollie is young enough to make what you want of him and can last years to come.
