More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Picasso is an eye-catching gelding!! Everywhere we go, we get compliments on his stunning coloring and laid-back demeanor!! Picasso is a down-to-earth, ready-to-work gelding with the athletic ability and brains to take you anywhere you want to go! Picasso has an easy W/T/C in the arena and has been working on his western pleasure trot, lope, sliding stops, flying, and simple lead changes, moving the hindquarters and spins! He would make an awesome 4-H horse! He would also make an awesome drill team horse, as he can easily carry a flag, tarp, rope, etc.. On top of his arena work, this guy is SEASONED on the trail! He has taken us on some crazy terrain safely and spent long hours in the mountains and the craziest situations in town! He has seen the crowds of people and bands around Fort Collins on the weekends and handled it like a pro! We haven’t found something that this horse can’t handle yet! Chaos, Crowds, giant tarps, crazy dogs, you name it! On top of being highly desensitized, he is one of the most loving and babysitting horses out there for Elderly, Young, and inexperienced riders! I have trusted him with the littlest of kiddos, and he has never let us down. He is also cowy! He can rate and chase a cow. And loves our local sorting practices!! He will drag just about any cow. Having a rope thrown off of him does not bother him! On top of his extensive western riding resume, he is an extremely popular lesson horse at the barn for our English riders! His video shows how much he absolutely loves his English and jumping days! He would make an absolutely adorable cross-country, hunter jumper, and dressage horse for any level and age rider! Picasso is easy to tack, stands tied, self-loads, and is excellent on the road! He is also great for the vet and farrier and has amazing feet. He has been barefoot his whole life! I have never seen this horse not get along with another horse or person! Picasso is an extremely talented young man with so many years ahead! Keep an eye on his sale and come test-ride him!

About Fort Collins, CO

Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
