Miniature Mare for Sale in Lancaster, PA

True to the namesake, Merrylegs is just as good as the little pony in Black Beauty- maybe even better! Merry (for short) is a 15/16 year old mini mare who is a TRUE babysitter. She will mother small children, foals, kittens, dogs, you name it. This little lady loves to be around people and is just such a good egg! Merry is broke to ride and drive. She'll stand all day for your kiddos to groom and fuss over her. You can pick up all four feet and crawl all over her. Merry is easy to catch and is often the first to meet you at the gate with a soft nicker. While riding, she does have more who then go, making her a great mount for toddlers! Merry does need a fly mask or else her eyes will water from the flies. Due to poor care before she came to us, her feet don't look totally beautiful (they are allowed to get too long), so a home with professional farrier care every 5-8 weeks would be best. She is sound and does not require shoes or a special diet for this. Located in Lancaster, PA No holds, trades, t rials or leases. No deposits. Can help ship anywhere!

About Lancaster, PA

Originally called Hickory Town, the city was renamed after the English city of Lancaster by native John Wright. Its symbol, the red rose, is from the House of Lancaster. Lancaster was part of the 1681 Penn's Woods Charter of William Penn, and was laid out by James Hamilton in 1734. It was incorporated as a borough in 1742 and incorporated as a city in 1818. During the American Revolution, Lancaster was the capital of the United States for one day, on September 27, 1777, after the Continental Congress fled Philadelphia, which had been captured by the British.
