Thoroughbred Eventer for Sale

War Feather is an 8-year-old Thoroughbred gelding who retired from racing in December 2022. Since January 2023, he's been brought along by an adult amateur rider in Tampa Bay, Fla., for the 2023 Thoroughbred Makeover. "Wyatt" is an attractive, athletic gelding who has proven he can excel in many arenas: dressage, eventing, show jumping and more. He is a forward and sensitive ride but kind, forgiving, and willing to take a joke. He enjoys the flatwork and has the ability to move up the levels (currently proficient at Training/First Level with scores in the mid/high 60s). He is brave to jump and has tremendous talent to go far here (currently showing 2'7"-2'9" but could easily go Novice - 2'11"). His bravery makes him a keen eventer. Wyatt is ridden on the flat and over fences in a simple snaffle. He would be a great horse for an ambitious amateur or junior rider. Wyatt is great to load, for the farrier/vet and hacks out on the trails on the buckle, alone or with a friend. He is currently barefoot. Wyatt is a lovebug on the ground - he loves to be snuggled! He is a big-moving horse and his sensitive nature makes him best suited for an intermediate rider and up. He has many miles at schooling dressage, jumper, hunter paces and eventing trials across Florida. Available for lease or sale to the right home.
