Aspa/AMHR 11 Mo Shetland Colt

Handsome 11 mo black/white Tobiano Shetland/Miniature colt for sale. Temporary double registered with AMHR & ASPA. However, he is already over the 38" AMHR requirement so will not qualify for permanent registration with the Miniature registry. Registered name is Steppin Out Midnight Serenade. Halter broken, ties, can pick up feet tied or untied, backs, leads pretty well both sides, friendly but a little shy...unless you have treats, completely weaned. I have his mother on site. His sire is Little Chaps Smokin Taxi, a show horse from Steppin Out Minis in CA where he was bred. Dam is Mulligans Run Music of the Night, a double registered Shetland broodmare, her picture is included running with Smoke. Last 2 photos were taken 4/3/23, rest of them except with mom were taken in February. Vaccines, vet check and most recent hoof trim done in Feb, wormed March. Great for stud or geld. Great health, lovely colt, ready to start more advanced ground training. Don't have measuring stick so about 39" from what I can tell. He is 3/4 Shetland so may be able to carry a young child when he matures. He was untouched and unbroken in November when I got him and his dam. In just a few months, and not many hours of work, he has come a long way in his training. His dam has beautiful Arab-like action, great trot, have not seen his sire move. His papers have been sent in for ownership change and are back in my possession. He is ready to go to a new home anytime. When Smoke arrived in November, he was still suckling but his mother had a negative Coggins test. If a new one is desired or required, buyer is responsible for acquiring it. Has been shipped once with his dam from CA to AZ in November. Don't have a trailer to practice on but have a small hay shed with a step up that I have been practicing with him going in and out, backing out, turning inside and coming out forward. Doing well.
