As seen in the video, he is fun to do some mounted archery. He is started in mounted shooting. He loves gathering cattle on the ranch. He is an incredible jumper in the arena or out on the cross-country course. He could win you some shows with a little more training. He is very gentle and easygoing. He loves to please and walks up to be caught in the pasture. He is extremely sure-footed, even in the roughest terrain. He loads and unloads well. He gets along with everything in the pasture as well. He is great to tack and untack and loves being groomed. He is looking for his new best friend. He is at the right age and has so many years left. He is sound and has no maintenance ever. He is just a fun horse and a pleasure to ride. Watch his video; it speaks for itself.

About Laporte, CO

The town was first settled by French-Canadian fur trappers and mountain men. It was the gateway to all the mountainous region lying north of the South Platte River and extending from the Plains to the Continental Divide. The trappers built cabins here along the Cache la Poudre River as early as 1828, making it the first white settlement in Larimer County. According to legend, a group of fur traders had earlier stashed supplies (including gunpowder) in a cache along the river near Laporte, and that is how the river got its name. It became the home of Antoine Janis in 1844, who is often noted as the first permanent white settler north of the Arkansas River.
