Draft Gelding for Sale in Charleston, IL

Introducing Titus Equine Junior! This fantastic gelding is truly a jack of all trades! From youth lessons, to trail riding, to the ranch, to the flag presentation, Junior will never let you down! His conformation is fantastic, with straight legs, great bones, and outstanding foot size. He is made to last! Being just an 11-year-old, Junior is beyond the goofy young horse stage, yet has more than a decade of good use left in him! A perfect horse for the kids to learn on or allow a senior rider, to ride off in the sunset. Junior is a nicely trained horse that stays broke in busy situations like inner city traffic, at shows or busy rodeo grounds. To me, Junior’s most amazing feature is his amazingly smooth short lope for a large drafty horse! He walks out nicely down the trail, crossing water, logs, and obstacles easily. He crosses deadfall and navigates steep terrain with a calm, confident demeanor. In addition, Junior is well versed in the extreme obstacle course. Tarps, Flags, Large balls, bridges, and tire pyramids are all accomplished and on his resume. He is traffic safe, been around 4wheelers, UTVs, tractors, and skid steers. Junior’s conformation, cool drafty mentality, willing personality, and advanced training will make him a great addition to anyone’s barn! He sells 100 percent sound and vice free!

About Charleston, IL

Native Americans lived in the Charleston area for thousands of years before the first European settlers arrived. With the great tallgrass prairie to the west, beech-maple forests to the east, and the Embarras River and Wabash Rivers between, the Charleston area provided semi-nomadic Indians access to a variety of resources. Indians may have deliberately set the " wildfires" which maintained the local mosaic of prairie and oak–hickory forest. Streams with names like 'Indian Creek' and 'Kickapoo Creek' mark the sites of former Indian settlements. One village is said to have been located south of Fox Ridge State Park near a deposit of flint.
