More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. General Lee is an awesome horse with many great qualities, making him the all-around horse he is! He is a 12-year-old true bay roan spotted single-footer. He is a gelding who stands 15 hands high and has a great disposition. Our close friend has owned General for the past eight years, and we cannot say enough great things about him. General is safe, gentle, and smooth! He has a natural 4-beat gait with a max speed of 27 mph! His gait is easy to transition from slow to fast. Like any horse who performs with this kind of speed and style, he does have some motor. He is not a hot horse or one with too much “go.” He will go on when you ask him but also walk when you ask him. He is easy to hold and easy to stop and a ball of fun to ride! He’s also been shown at local fun shows. My friend has ridden his grandson on him in front of him on all kinds of trails. He’s been trail-ridden hundreds of miles, taken on many camping trips, and is used to picket lines and other camp life activities. He can handle rough, rugged terrain and will easily ride through mud, water, and up and down steep hills. He’s confident riding alone and even in the dark. We’ve ridden him through our cattle and sheep, and he has seen all kinds of wildlife, like Turkey and deer. General is easy to catch and gets along well with other horses. He would make a great first-speed horse for someone and would be suitable for a confident beginner or intermediate-type rider. General is an automatic as he is easy to keep in his gait whether you’re going slow or fast. He is super fun, safe, and unique and has the looks and brains to go with it! Check out our full video to see just how awesome this guy is!
