Doc is a 4 year old Friesian Sporthorse gelding standing 15.3 hands tall with clean legs and nice conformation. Doc is trained to both ride and drive and is always aiming to please!! Doc rides english or western and happily goes out on trail in a group or alone. He will easily guide through rough terrain, over downed trees, through mud/water and up and down steep grades without putting a foot wrong. Doc is soft in face and will ride collected, he has a really nice stop and will back up with ease. Under english tack he is a super fun ride and will trot over ground poles and willingly take a jump, he is brave to the fence and has no refusal in him. Doc easily catches both leads and has the most beautiful stride and it is very smooth! We have drug a tarp and sled off him, carried a flag and beach umbrella as well as riding him over bridges, and other obstacles. He is naturally quiet minded and gentle. He is good on the ground to groom, to tack up and bathe, he clips, good for the vet/farrier and ties on cross ties or single tied. He will load onto any style trailer and hauls quiet and offloads in new places like he’s been there his whole life. Doc has some tricks up his sleeve he knows how to lay down and sit up just like the big puppy his personality shows him to be! He’s even been ridden through the bank drive thru and pulled the cart down busy roads not much phases this honest horse! Doc sells 100% physically and mentally sound without vices or limitations. About Everett, PA
Over 200 years ago, the sun pierced through the thick forest on a small Indian village and trading post known as Bloody Run, which was located on a wagon road headed to Fort Dusquesne in south central Pennsylvania. [ citation needed ] In 1787, Michael Barndollar purchased the land in this area, and laid out a town which was originally called Waynesburg. This name was never widely used and this small village was incorporated as a borough in November 1860, to be known as Bloody Run. While this name carries with it many interesting stories and much history, the name was changed in February 1873 to Everett. The Everett Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
