Quarter Pony Mare for Sale in Fort Collins, CO

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY,COM. SALE ENDS ON 11/26 @ 1:30PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Sasha is the kind of pony dreams are made of; golly, would she be cute under the Christmas tree! She is the *ULTIMATE* family pony! Not only is she safe and friendly, but she also is smart and playful. You can push a cow, drag a log, or carry a flag while riding or driving her. Sasha is very traffic broke and will go anywhere! She is just enough GO with the right amount of WHOA to make her tons of fun for those wanting to giddy up and calm and quiet for all those first rides or timid cowgirls and boys needing a chill mount. She is point-and-shoot and checks all the boxes. Sasha will meet you at the gate, is easy to tack or harness and great with her feet and the farrier. She will load up without hesitation and even hop in the truck if you ask her to (it beats hooking up the trailer). Sasha has been taught to rear on command to a very special cue making it a safe, fun party trick. She’s a complete gem and had never given her trick without being asked. Sasha gets along with everyone, big or small, making it convenient on trails because you could put her anywhere in the lineup. She will cross anything and is brave, making her a brilliant leader, but she’s docile and kind, making her a great follower. Sasha is ready to sink her heart into teaching the next little cowgirl or cowboy. Sasha was temporarily double-registered with both AMHR and AMHA. Though we have her temporary papers she was never permanently registered when she came of age but is still within the height requirements. If you were looking to breed, you could pursue hardship registering her back into both for some papered foals. She would be an incredible mother as well. Please reach out with any questions or to come to give her a try! Once you meet her, you will fall in LOVE!

About Fort Collins, CO

Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
