Jackaroo is a 9-year-old Chestnut Tobiano Gelding standing right at 15 Hands tall with a stout built similar to a draft-cross Spotted Saddle Horse. Jackaroo has the complete dream horse package from his stunning appearance, naturally smooth gait, in your pocket typical gelding attitude that absolutely loves attention. Jackaroo has been used as a trail horse his entire life, from just day rides by himself or a few friends to large group rides with 50+ riders and overnight camping trips weeks long; we just got back from personally camping with Jackaroo & we couldn’t have asked him to do any better in the rough, rugged trails we have in Eastern Kentucky at the horse camp we were staying at. Jackaroo has been trail ridden by younger inexperienced riders, older riders, and anyone that just wants the pleasure of trail riding while their guest is at our farm. We have given guided trail rides on Jackaroo, and he has always been a gentleman in taking care of each rider. Jackaroo is a true once-in-a-lifetime horse. He can be ridden without a bridle, stands great for a mounting block, doesn’t mind riding with dogs, doesn’t mind a gun being shot from his back, can be ridden in the busy downtown, so riding in Parades shouldn’t phase him, we have trained him to carry a flag he took to that as if he has ridden with one his entire life. Jackaroo is a horse that trusts his rider. He’s not a spooky type of horse, always looking at things. If you’re looking for a reliable trail horse safe for the entire family to enjoy, we believe Jackaroo would make you a great fit. He is the all-around horse that is about impossible to find anymore. Jackaroo has the most natural gait you can find; You just have to sit there and hold the reins. He will keep a consistent, smooth gait he also doesn’t mind walking on a loose rein while trail riding with a simple smooch. He will move on out to his running walk gait; he will instantly stop with a simple “Woah” or gentle pulling back on the reins; he listens to voice commands. Jackaroo has been trained with natural horsemanship methods creating a human-animal relationship. Naturally, he is a horse with so much potential and eager to learn new things. He doesn’t mind dogs running out from all directions under his legs or carrying flags while being ridden, we have introduced several new things & he has adjusted so well! I can go on all day telling you all about this amazing horse; he’s the kind that is a true pleasure to ride every time you climb on. We have personally trail-ridden Jackaroo several miles in trails by himself and with a group of friends; he does great & acts the same with either. He doesn’t mind being in the back of the group, leading, or in the middle! It doesn’t get too steep or rough. He will cross anywhere you point his head without any hesitation, crossing downed trees cut up, jumping up large embankments, creeks, mud puddles, ditches & the rocky steep terrains that we have here in Southeastern Kentucky while still being sure-footed and takes his time with every step completely trusting the rider to guide the way!
