He stands 16.1 hands and has all the presence of a purebred friesian! Sebastian is grandsired by Elias P. Elias goes back to Teunis 332 and Erik 351 which are both approved friesian stallions with the KFPS. Both Teunis and Erik are accomplished breeding stallions who also competed in upper level dressage and show driving. Sebastian has plenty of experience on the trails of the eastern US. He is comfortable in all locations of the group, whether leading or following as well as going out alone. He crosses ditches, banks, water, bridges and logs with ease. He is traffic safe and has been ridden on the busy roads of Ft. Worth, Texas all the way down to the quiet, country roads in KY. He is also a favorite to go ride through the pasture checking cattle or ponying colts. He rides English and shows great talent for dressage. He is easily doing training level dressage and schooling 1st level movements. We recently started jumping Sebastian, and he is really enjoying it! In addition to his other riding, he has had 90 days of professional reining training. He has a nice sliding stop, slow spins, easy circles, side pass, and is started on flying lead changes. He really is a jack of all trades. Whether you want to show, pleasure ride, or do both, Sebastian is ready to be your partner for it! We have extensively hauled him and ridden in lots of new places and he handles all of that with ease. He’s been lightly shown at local shows and is always a favorite of the judges! He has nice ground manners and is forgiving of the rider when they make mistakes. I’ve lightly used him for lessons with lesser experienced riders and he has done well.
