He will drag to a stop, will spin a hole in the ground like an auger and does flying lead changes. He loves tracking cattle and has had a rope swung off of him. He has a soft neck rein and is very easy to cue. Very easy to climb on and off standing at 14 hands. He has a very keen head with the biggest, kindest eyes and an amazing steel gray color. He is fun to ride and is smooth to ride. Blade has a huge personality and loves people. Easy to handle and loves feeding time. Super easy keeper, no need to over feed this one to keep his figure. About Bayard, NE

"Old" Bayard was founded in the 1880s. It was named after the city of Bayard, Iowa. The first post office at Bayard was established in 1888. The town of Bayard was picked up and moved to its present site in 1900 in order to be on the new Union Pacific Railroad line. CCC Camp BR-61, part of the North Platte Project, was located at Bayard.
