Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Fillmore, MO

this colt would be a great prospect for someone looking for a young horse with a good start/foundation on him as well as being respectful and quiet for being only 2. i got him a year ago and been messing around with him ever sense. this year when i went to get on him for the first time he did really well along with the other mare i got with him. i’ve been riding him sense the beginning of june. i’ve been trying to ride him every day sense. i usually ride him for about an hour and a half or more a day. i ride him in a snaffle and just started riding him outside the pasture and pen. he doesn’t have a problem with riding out away from the other horses by himself. i do a lot of loping on him and make sure i put some miles under his feet. he is pretty solid with the things i’ve taught him to where if i leave him for a week he still remembers everything. i try to balance suppling excercises with wet saddle pads. i have been using the du horsemanship method with him and i’ve done all the fundamental excercises with him so he’s easy to catch, and comes right up to u. he is a really friendly horse without any bad attitude. never had him buck even on the first ride or first saddling. he goes when u tell him to go and falls asleep when u tell him to. i’ve done the fundamentals riding portion with him and some of the intermediate so far. he picks up all 4 feet, easy to catch, loads great, will walk trot and canter, i’ve done a bunch of one rein stops so he knows when to go and when to stop, i do a lot of loping on a lose rein, he will yeild hindquarters under saddle and bend in a circle, he will give his head vertically at the walk and standstill and back up. he has a good stop on him as well as the concept of neck reining and sidepassing. he knows all of the basic things you would need to take him in any direction. i have layed him down several times and lead him by his feet and tied him for hours at a time. he is pretty submissive and respectful the video i posted i took here recently on the 26th of september. i haven’t had time to get a video and i still didn’t get everything i wanted in the video but it gives you a general idea of how he rides. in the video this was the first time i’ve road him in over a month and he still rides like normal just a bit more lazy. if you have any questions or want more info etc text or call my number 816-273-6226
