Arabian Gelding for Sale in Hillsboro, MO
2008 Arabian Gelding. Very fun and athletic with lots of personality. He has been shown in Show Hack, hunt seat, Country English and equitation. Has been trail ridden (prefers to trail ride in small groups and to be the lead horse), he's the favorite lesson horse for intermediate-advanced students. I've been taking dressage lessons on him the last few months and and he's doing very well. He's sensitive and very responsive to leg cues. He has beautiful extended and collected gaits. He has never been lame or had health issues in the 4 years I've owned him. He's balanced both directions. He's easy to catch in a field and loves attention. Never offers to rear, buck, spin, kick or bite. He is NOT for beginners. He has a lot of training and aims to please. He is best suited for a confident teen or adult rider. Priced in the mid four figures. PM more for more information.
About Hillsboro, MO
Hillsboro was originally called Monticello, and under the latter name was platted in 1839, and named after Monticello, home of President Thomas Jefferson. The name Monticello was afterwards changed because the U.S. postal authorities refused to accept that name, there being another post office in the state with a similar name. The present name Hillsboro is the English equivalent of the Italian name Monticello. A post office has been in operation at Hillsboro since 1838.
