Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Prescott, AZ

"Honey" is your next show horse/broodmare prospect, with impeccable breeding and a mind to go with it. She is a 7 year old double registered APHA/AQHA palomino mare. She is extremely personable, flashy, scopey, flexible, and has been started slow and correct with a solid foundation. Honey leads, loads, ties, ground ties, hobbles, stands for baths, and is used to traffic and the hustle and bustle of a moderately large boarding facility. Honey had thirty days as a three year old, was ponied and trail ridden, and is just now coming out of a thirty day restart. She is considered green broke, but is coming along beautifully. She rides quietly bareback or under saddle in a halter, single rein, a bosal, broken snaffle, or mylar. Honey would be best suited in a home committed to furthering her training, finishing her out for showing ranch versatility, or using her as a working cow horse. (Discounts and lessons available if kept in her current program!) She will remain in her current training program until she is sold, and price will raise accordingly.

About Prescott, AZ

Arizona Territorial Governor John Noble Goodwin selected the original site of Prescott following his first tour of the new territory. Goodwin replaced Governor John A. Gurley, appointed by Abraham Lincoln, who died before taking office. Downtown streets in Prescott are named in honor of each of them. Goodwin selected a site 20 miles (32 km) south of the temporary capital on the east side of Granite Creek near a number of mining camps.
