Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Troy, MO
Sugar is green broke. We were misinformed when we purchased her that she was rideable. We are new to horses and this is not the horse for us. She will only stand for a short time for a ferried. This is a spicy horse and needs a lot of training. She is currently 8 years old.
About Troy, MO
Troy was platted in 1819. Some say the community was named after Troy, New York, while others believe the name is a transfer from Troy, Vermont. An early variant name was Woods Fort. A post office called Troy has been in operation since 1823. Fort Cap au Gris, a War of 1812 fortification, was built near Troy in 1814.
