Appendix Mare for Sale in Canal Winchester, OH
Sadie is a very energetic sweet mare. She needs someone who will spend time with her everyday and ride her everyday! She does best in a small herd. She has been hurt at crowded barns in her past before she came to us. She does not like to be stalled but does trailer very well. She is a beautiful girl. My daughter used in 4H and now has graduated, grown and moved out and Sadie is missing having a girl or boy of her own to spend time with her everyday. She loves being brushed and is awesome for the farrier!
                        About Canal Winchester, OH
Canal Winchester was founded in 1828 by Reuben Dove and John Colman. When construction of the Ohio & Erie Canal came through Dove's wheat field, he wanted to sue the state. The canal workmen instead convinced him that he would be better off laying out a town, because the area was midway between Columbus and Lancaster. On November 4, 1828, Reuben Dove and John Colman recorded the first plat for Winchester, Ohio, in Violet Township, Fairfield County. Dove named the village after his father's hometown of Winchester, Virginia.
