Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Starbuck, MN

Babe is a coming 5 year old 14h horse. She is a slow walking horse though she is fast when running! Road her this summer on rides through the woods and in corn fields she did awesome! She spooks some times but doesn’t rear or buck. I’m selling her cause she is a bully to my brothers horse. She does well and is started on barrels and is cow prospect. She is green broke and needs some work. She does not like leaving the pen without a friend. She loves getting attention. I tried giving her a bath one time last summer and she didn’t like water on her back. She did very well with swimming in the lake that me and my brother rode to. You can stand on her back and slide off her but. She has a long stride so I put bell boots on when I know I’m going to be running or doing something competitive!! I am picking to where she goes!! She is amazing!!!! Text or call please don’t email. 3,000 or best offer!!

About Starbuck, MN

Starbuck was platted in the spring of 1882, as a village on the Northern Pacific railway, adjoining Lake Minnewaska. The growth and settlement of Pope County were greatly retarded for many years by the lack of railway and shipping facilities, which obliged the settlers to go long distances, into adjoining counties, to market their products. Reportedly the town was named after Stabekk in Bærum in Akershus county, Norway. But Geographical Names of Manitoba says that the village of Starbuck, Manitoba, is thought to have been named after the town in Minnesota by a contractor working for the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1885, and that Starbuck, Minnesota, was named after William H. Starbuck of New York, who financed the Little Falls and Dakota Railroad.
