Thoroughbred Gelding for Sale in Sykesville, MD

Jax is an OTTB who is currently schooling beginner novice and training level (first level) dressage. I have a new baby so not a lot of time to ride. He is jumping 2'6"-3'. Trail rides alone or with company (or with your dog). He is super sweet. He is working on training level dressage and is schooling first level movements. He trailers well, cross ties well, and is a big puppy. I am looking for a rider that wants to ride 2-3 times a week and show this summer (we will trailer you to 4 shows at no charge and after 4 we will charge you the price of gas. ) Cost $200 a month for three rides a week or $150 for two rides a week. No other charges like farrier, vet, etc. He has top of the line gear. Our farm is in Sykesville, MD. It has a stone dust outdoor arena with small jump course, cavalettis, and dressage letters. We back right to the park and have miles of trails. We would want you to work with our trainer Kerri Long and have a lesson no less than every other week. You pay for lessons.

About Sykesville, MD

Prior to European colonization, the area that is now Sykesville was used as a hunting ground by Native Americans from the Susquehannock and Lenape nations. By the late 1800s, many Europeans (predominantly from Germany and Scotland) had settled in Sykesville in pursuit of farming and mining. The land on which Sykesville sits started out as part of the 3,000-acre (12 km 2) Springfield Estate, a slave plantation owned by wealthy Baltimore shipbuilder William Patterson. In 1803, Patterson's daughter Elizabeth, married Napoléon Bonaparte's younger brother Jérôme, but when she arrived in Europe as Jérôme's bride, Napoléon refused to let Betsy Patterson Bonaparte set foot on land. Napoléon refused the marriage of the two, and would not let Elizabeth set foot on France's soil.
