"Max" is a 21y/o Peruvian Paso gelding with an engine. Don't let his age fool you, he loves to GO! Recently seen by a vet and got a clean bill of health. Recently dewormed, floated and up to date on vaccines. Goes barefoot. Never colic or any health or soundness issues during his last 7 years of ownership. Not suitable for beginners because he likes to move out. Forward but never bucked or bolted. He needs someone who will ride him often. Fun on trails. Gets really spunky with a group. About Campo, CA
Campo was a military town in the 1940s and home to the Buffalo Soldiers. During World War II, it was known as Camp Lockett and had a veterans convalescent hospital. Camp Lockett housed a 300-bed Italian Prisoner-of-war camp in Cameron Corners. The Army’s all African American Cavalry unit patrolled the border on horseback until 1944. The United States Military continues to maintain activities nearby at La Posta Mountain Warfare Training Facility.
