Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in San Tan Valley, AZ

Selling my 12 yr old mare due to medical issues I have. Can be seen in San Tan Valley. Please read the whole ad, if you ask a question that is answered in the ad, I will not respond... 12 year old Grade Mare. If you can sit on a horse, you can ride her, however, to really make her "go" you will need to know how to ride a bit as it takes a little bit of a push to get her to go. If you want a horse to put your kid or husband, friend, etc on and just have them go out on the trails, she's your horse! If you're looking to do Gymkhana or Barrels, move along. Pros: Very nice mare, not mareish, not spooky, loves to go out on the trails. Responsive to rein and leg cues. Has been around cows, not worried about them at all, inquisitive. Is broke, broke, broke. Has never bucked, kicked, or reared in the 12 months I've had her. She takes the bit with no issues, saddles fine, ground ties, ties to the fence quietly with zero pulling or moving. She is currently barefoot and has really nice, hard feet. She is great for the farrier, actually falls asleep while he's doing her feet. She is not an "in your pocket" horse, but if you want to go out in the pasture and just lay on her, rub on her, talk to her, feed her, etc, she'll stand there and relax with you, as she loves attention, just doesn't always seek it out and need to be on top of you (to me this is a Pro). She's an easy keeper. She is UTD on shots, dewormer, and farrier care. She will be needing her fall shots soon. In the herd, she is "boss mare". Cons: Needs consistent trailer loading training. Can get her on with pressure/release leading her on, she just likes to resist. She is fine in trailer and unloading. She does not like other horses riding next to her, or up in her butt. She doesn't act up just puts ears back as far as I experienced. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxcmfYqXFuU&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfjHtrU-kGU&feature=youtu.be

About San Tan Valley, AZ

San Tan Valley derives its name from the nearby San Tan Mountains. The origin of the name San Tan is disputed, with suggestions ranging from a corruption of the name Santa Ana to the last name of George Santan, prior postmaster in nearby Gila County. Previously referred to as San Tan Heights, San Tan Foothills, Greater San Tan and simply the San Tan Area, the community lacked any official name and residents used nearby Queen Creek for their mailing addresses. To coincide with the addition of a new ZIP code for the community on July 1, 2009, the United States Postal Service was petitioned to provide the area with a new name. As part of the initial request, "Bella Vista" name was submitted to the postal service, drawing the ire of some local residents who opposed the suggested name.
