Arabian Gelding for Sale in Dexter, MI

Date: April 10, 2015 I am looking for a long term (4-5 + years long) lease or sale to a good home. The price listed is higly negotiable, only for search purposes. Rex is a perfect horse to show English (Huntseat, Dressage, Saddleseat); go trail riding; use in an Endurance competition; teach an intermediate or at least advanced beginner riding lesson; or just to ride around bareback. I have owned him for seven plus years, and we rode in the Washtenaw County 4H fair, at several Spur and Eastern Michigan Arabian Association shows, on the Dexter Equestrian team, and in a few competitive trail rides. Rex could do well as an Endurance or distance horse. He loves exploring new settings and relaxes shortly into the ride. Rex is a registered Arabian gelding with a sweet and willing disposition. He is 15 years old and up to date on his coggins, vaccinations, and deworming. He has never needed shoes. Rex does well with the vet and farrier, he clips, bathes, loads in and out of the trailer, and he can be handled easily and enjoyably. He is great in the stall, on the cross ties, or tied to a hitching post. I plan to move out of state and am currently looking for someone interested in a full lease or to buy Rex. Rex is a sweetheart and would need at least an intermediate rider, or very confident beginner. Contact: Summer Powers Phone: (734) 478-4***7 Email: psum***@umich.edu

About Dexter, MI

The area was first settled in 1824, 13 years before Michigan became a state, when land speculator Samuel W. Dexter purchased a large tract of land and originated the village. It was known as "Mill Creek Settlement" until the village was platted in 1830, when its name was officially changed to Dexter. Mill Creek and the Huron River, which form much of the western and northeastern boundaries of the city, respectively, have long been valuable resources to Dexter. A sawmill was built in 1827, a woolen mill in 1838, a grist mill in 1844, and a cider mill in 1886.
