Dutch Warmblood Stallion for Sale in Bude, United Kingdom

Samber x Notaris x Little Star KWPN Licensed Black Tobiano stallion Colour Black Tobiano Height 17hh Born 2000 Studbook KWPN Teun as he is known at home is a very special stallion. He has outstanding conformation, powerful elevated paces, great jump, a fantastic highly sought after pedigree and above all an unbelievable temperament. He is one of only a few licensed sons directly by the great Samber and boosting the sought after Black and white Tobiano colouring. Although not Homozygous he has only covered solid coloured mares and produced 75% coloured foals to these mares. Teun has an outstanding temperament and has successfully competed BSJA. At his grading he was nothing less than a sensation and was licensed for life on his first presentation!! Teuns foals are eligible for KWPN and BSPA papers. Breeding Teun is a direct son of the legendary Samber. Samber has been called a ‘World Wide Legend’. Other superlatives are applied to him, such as ‘The King of the Coloured Horses’ or ‘The Leading Sire of Tobiano horses’. This great stallion really deserves this accolade because he is really out of the ordinary and is now in more than 80% of bloodlines of the coloured horses in active competition. Born on the 2nd April 1976 and passed away in 2009, Samber took his 100 day test in Holland in 1979. He obtained the exceptional mark of 10 out 10 in character, totaling 160.2 points and was classified as A. His career was just beginning. In the middle of the 80s, having been at stud since 1979, he reached the Grand Prix level in Dressage and the BSJA Grade A in Jumping. He is still the only Tobiano stallion to have been admitted in the KWPN A studbook, (and many others have tried), traditionally refractory to coloured horses. Samber also descends from an excellent family. His father, Pericles, born in England in 1962 had won several races and also succeeded in Show Jumping. He was named ‘Keur’ in 1976 and ‘Preferent’ in 1977. He died in 1978. His mother, Tina D was an extremely prolific broodmare, giving birth to 16 products. In 1983, at 19 years old, she has been presented at the ‘UTV National Mare Show’ with several of her products, including Samber. One can also find daughters of Tina D (such as Wanda, actual sister of Samber) in several winners’ pedigrees. The production of Samber has been extraordinary, in quality as well as in quantity. In his career, he has covered around 2.600 mares, all in natural mating, as his semen cannot be frozen. He transmitted his Tobiano color to almost all his products. Samber will always remain a legend and be sought after for years to come. Teuns dam Alady was a top class broodmare in Holland producing many top offspring including licensed sons. His dam sire Notaris is the sire of the famous Jasper. Notaris is seen in the bloodlines of many international horses as he was a quality horse that stamped his stock with clean bone & super paces. The Courville xx son has been very influential during his long breeding career. Last year his sons AK Kanselier (256th), Catch 22 (872nd) and Jarno W (1566th) were still competing internationally and nine horses out of a Notaris dam were ranked in the 2007 WBFSH World Breeding Rankings for Jumping Horses. Kanselier is Ellen Whitakers prolific winning horse. Kanselier has been a winner for Ellen Whitaker since joining her yard in 2002, partnering her to international and national wins at both senior and young rider level. In 2003, Ellen won team silver at the junior European Championship with the chestnut gelding, who is owned by her father Steven and Dawn Makin. Since then, Kanselier has been a regular winner around the world for Ellen up to and including five-star level. Notaris has four approved sons and 16 of his daughters produced stallions. Due to his impressive contribution to breeding and performance through both high dressage and show jumping index Notaris was awarded the Keur predicate Further in the pedigree we see Little Star who also features in the famous Kroongraafs pedigree. Kroongraaf is out of one of the best damlines in the Netherlands. Dam Rianne (Amor x Little Star) is a full sister of Surprise. Rianne was the winner of the Grand Prix, ‘Jumping Amsterdam’, and has produced two approved stallions, several ‘ster’, ‘keur’, ‘UTV’mares and three international showjumpers: Bella Donna (winner of diverse world cups), Topsy and Febroke. Additionally Rianne is the grandam of Never Mind, champion Gelderland and the reserve champion Orlando. All in all Teun has a complete and top class pedigree. First and above all he is a top class quality warmblood with movement and ability to compete at top level coupled with an outstandingly easy temperament, with the added bonus of stunning colour! He is the correct choice to produce top class highly talented performance youngstock. A rare opportunity to buy such a rare stallion, not often is such quality coupled with such colourings!
