Paint Mare for Sale in Hot Springs, AR
These two fillies are full sisters, I got them from the slaughter buyer
after the auction (got there late, darn it!) . Couldn't get him to sell me
their mother. The bigger filly is about 15 months old, the little one is
about 3 or 4 months old. Neither one had any handling at all until now,
they don't yet eat grain ! They are both now wearing halters with drag
leads, and are together in a nice box stall. Currently they are eating
very good hay with an alfalfa blend, with special mix grain sprinkled
on top, trying to get them to eat grain. The little one can already be
easily handled, the yearling is a little more scared, but can be held
and petted. Proof of a good home REQUIRED to get these babies. Vet &
farrier contact information, and if you are not experienced with young
horses, contact info for your trainer / instructor. For now, I will
let them go for $100 each, or $175 for the pair (need to cover my cost &
expenses) . Once their training and condition improves, (and this won't
take long!) their prices will increase. I got these fillies 6-2-2012,
expect a price increase in about 2 weeks ! The height listed is how
tall their mother was.
About Hot Springs, AR
Members of many Native American tribes had been gathering in the valley for untold numbers of years to enjoy the healing properties of the thermal springs. In 1673, Father Marquette and Jolliet explored the area and claimed it for France. The 1763 Treaty of Paris ceded the land to Spain; however, in 1800 control was returned to France until the Louisiana Purchase of 1803. In December 1804, Dr. George Hunter and William Dunbar made an expedition to the springs, finding a lone log cabin and a few rudimentary shelters used by people visiting the springs for their healing properties.
