Paint Mare for Sale in White Plains, KY
Beauty is a Paint mare. she is just turned three. She has not been started
under saddle yet. She has been bred to our spotted jack and should foal
next May. She does look like she gaits in the feild. Her mother was a
spotted saddle but her sire was a reg. AQHA red dun stallion. She is very
friendly, easy to catch, lead, load, stands well for the farrier. She
has been trimmed but not shoed. My husband will throw a fit if she has
a spotted gaited mule next spring. To good home only.
                        About White Plains, KY
White Plains was established in 1853, and was originally known as "Little Prairie." With the arrival of the railroad in 1870, Little Prairie became the shipping point for a community then known as "White Plains" (modern Fruit Hill) further to the south in Christian County, and thus became known as "White Plains Station," or "New White Plains." When the postmaster of the Christian County community renamed it "Fruit Hill," the "New" was dropped from the name of the Hopkins County city.
