Duke is a terrific, kid gentle, 7 year old gelding. He carries 2 adults
double or 3 children triple with ease. There is no kick, buck, bite,
rear or runaway in him. His slow gaited foxtrot is wonderful! He's strong
& in perfect health. He's shod & wormed with papers & current coggins.
Duke is simple to catch, groom, saddle & bridle. He stands still for
mounting & dismounting. His endurance mountain training makes him a
great surefooted trail horse. Duke is quite flashy with a white face &

About Minden, LA
Minden was established in 1836 by Charles Veeder. Native sons include Gene Austin and Sweet Lou Dunbar. During the Civil War, a large Confederate encampment was located just east of Minden. It housed about 15,000 Confederate soldiers. The town served as a supply depot for the Confederate Army.
