Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Harmony, PA
Molly is a bay welsh / quarter horse cross that is ten years old. She is
about 14. 2 hh and she has no white markings. Her walk, trot, and canter
are extremely smooth. I would not reccommend her to be a beginner's horse,
though, because she would much rather run than walk. I would say that
she would suit an intermediate rider that would ride her regularly.
She is definitely a horse with a lot of spirit and a lot of "get
up and go. " She has never reared or bucked and has rarely shied
from anything, she just wants to be able to run. We use her for trail
riding but her previous owner had her jumping in shows. She rides both
English and Western. Her hooves are excellent. They are very hard and
she does not require shoes. Her teeth were just floated in June.
                        About Harmony, PA
In December 1753, George Washington and Christopher Gist came through the area. They were shot at somewhere between present-day Evans City and Ellwood City (the exact location is unknown), through a region above the forks of the Ohio known as Mutheringtown or " Murdering Town". In 2003, the borough commemorated the event as part of the 250th Anniversary Commemoration of the French and Indian War. Harmony was founded by the pietist Johann Georg Rapp and his Harmony Society in 1804. George Rapp came to America from Württemberg, Germany, in 1803 in search of land for his followers that was free from the religious persecution they faced in Germany.
