Missouri Fox Trotter Mare for Sale in Iola, TX
Dixie is well broke and ready for long trail rides. Dixie would be a great
Competitive Trail mount. She has smooth gaits and is willing to go through
anything. Dixie was sent to a professional Fox Trotter trainer last year
for two months and I have finished out her training at the ranch. We have
owned her for all of her life and we still have her mother. She's easy
to catch, trailer, lead, saddle, bridle and stands for the farrier. E -

About Iola, TX
On November 6, 2007, it became the fifth incorporated city in Grimes County after a residential vote. Iola is believed to have been named for Edward Ariola, one of Stephen F. Austin's colonists who settled in the vicinity in 1836. In 1852 the community's first church, Zion Methodist, was constructed; the building also served as a schoolhouse. The settlement's first gristmill, Monroe's Gin, began operating during the 1860s.
