Shetland Pony Mare for Sale in Alliance, NE
"Chanter" is a beautiful black pinto mare, with excellent
bloodlines, a wonderful disposition, and is an easy breeder very kind
to the stallions. We are keeping her 2005 filly, so have decided to let
her go. She sells exposed to our senior black pinto stallion NJs Banjo
Bird (x Raven of Bird Haven; award winning Superior Sire and Hall of Fame)
with a LFG contract for a 2006 foal. This mare has a gentle disposition,
and the resulting foal will be show quality with a disposition for a
family pony.
About Alliance, NE
The town was originally named Grand Lake. When the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad came to Grand Lake in 1888, the railroad superintendent, G.W. Holdrege, wanted to change it to a simple one-word name closer to the beginning of the alphabet, which he thought would be better for business. The U.S. Post Office gave Holdrege permission, and he picked "Alliance" for the new name of the town.
