Marquie is an exceptional mare who is suited for English riding and
who has the stamina, flash, and energy to go far. She is the typical
Morgan with an amazing and refined head that she passes onto her foals.
Natural head set and naturally under herself. Very sensitive to leg and
bit pressure. Marquie is also a great broodmare who has crossed with
both Friesians and Arabians. Gets along with other horses, bathes,
trims, clips, loads, no bite or kick, vets, can be handled ALL OVER
without a flinch. Pigeon toed in the front that in no way affects her
riding ability other than she cannot be jumped. Not for a beginner
as she has more energy than I think they would be comfortable with.

About Custer, WA
Custer was named after its first postmaster, Albert W. Custer. Originally the town was located at the intersection of the current Valley View and Bay Roads. In 1890-1892 the town moved to the current location with the coming of the railroad. Country singer Loretta Lynn was a resident of Custer in the 1950s and early 1960s when she was a young wife and mother at the start of her legendary career.
