Mare for Sale in Anderson, TX

Daytona came to BEHS as part of a neglect case. She was very wary of humans when she arrived, but she overcame that when her foster home had to treat her for an eye injury. Her foster 'mom' reports that she's a submissive horse, so she would do best with a horse who isn't overly dominant. She's not been ridden in her foster home and is looking for a home where she can be a pet/companion. Available for adoption (with contract) from Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society. No breeding or resales.

About Anderson, TX

Long occupied by indigenous peoples, this area was initially settled by Europeans and creole Spanish during Spanish colonial rule. Anglo-Americans began to enter the area in the 1820s from the South of the United States. After Mexico achieved independence, it accepted additional settlers from the United States into eastern Texas. It allowed them to practice their own religion, if they swore loyalty to Mexico. A few structures in town date from this period.
