This 15.1 hand sturdy 14 yo gaited Paso Fino gelding is very special and dons the name "Babysitter" for good reason. Babysitter was one of the July Bastrop Louisiana kill pen saves and he was saved along with a young scared colt, to be the baby's confidence along a 3 day grueling trip to safety. Babysitter is now ready to be your grandmother's babysitter, your child's babysitter, or your own new best friend. He is super quiet and steady as a rock. Clip, crosstie, groom, tack up, trim or shoe, vacuum, and get on… This boy is rock solid. He was tested in groundwork and put through a desensitization course which he breezed right through with flying colors. He went through an intermediate mounted police obstacle course and rode beautifully in an open field with other horses coming and going with no care. Babysitter is gaited so you could ride his smooth running walk as slow and as forward as you like. He does not desire to go any faster than you encourage. Suitable for a rider who belongs to a volunteer mounted patrol unit, search and rescue, therapeutic riding, or an adventurous trail rider or obstacle challenge competitor. Babysitter does require medication (1 Prascend pill daily) for his low level cushings disease. Currently located in CT in his loving foster care. $1600 adoption fee.
